In this appeal, we consider whether the circuit court erred in applying an attorneys' fees provision of a contract. The court determined that the plaintiff, the prevailing party on both its claim for compensation under the contract and the defendant's counterclaim for the plaintiff's alleged breach of the contract, was entitled to only a nominal award of one dollar in attorneys' fees for its defense of the counterclaim...
