VOROS, Judge:

¶ 1 This case challenges the centuries-old adage that "good fences make good neighbors." The case arose from a dispute over a six-foot fence running east and west between two neighbors' residences. The neighbors on the south, John Vandermeide and Patsy J. Vandermeide (the Vandermeides), built the fence; the neighbor on the north, James Winslow Young, tore it down.
