McHUGH, Judge:

¶ 1 Jerry Warnick appeals the trial court's order denying his request for attorney fees incurred in defending against a legal action brought against him by the law firm Anderson & Karrenberg (A & K). In particular, Warnick contends that he was the prevailing party in the action, that the action was based upon a written contract containing a unilateral attorney fees provision, and that he is therefore entitled to his fees...
