OPINION

FAIN, J.

{¶ 1} Defendant-appellant Jerry R. Lay appeals from a November 14, 2011 order denying his motion to modify his sentence imposed in 2006 for eight counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, to which he had pled guilty. Lay contends that the trial court erred by failing to apply the provisions of 2011 H.B. 86, which amended various provisions pertaining to criminal sentencing.
