{¶ 1} On August 26, 2011, a jury found appellant Alan H. Markwell ["Markwell"] guilty of one count of rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition. On September 24, 2011, Markwell returned to court for sentencing. The trial court ordered that Markwell serve a mandatory prison sentence of ten (10) years on the rape count; a prison term of eighteen (18) months on the count of gross sexual imposition; and a prison term...
