This case involves tragic circumstances that disrupted and eventually destroyed the parties' marriage. The parties, who were married in 2005, have one child, a daughter born in 2007. In 2008, defendant, then age 28, suffered a stroke from an undetected brain aneurysm. He was in a coma for several weeks and underwent four brain surgeries.
