On this appeal, we are asked to determine whether the Surrogate's Court has subject matter jurisdiction to determine what, if any, legal fees are due to an out-of-state law firm representing an executor in matters relating to the estate. For the reasons set forth herein, we answer in the affirmative and remit the matter to the Surrogate's Court, Westchester County, for a determination of the reasonable and appropriate fees...
