After a $1,158 discrepancy was discovered in the bank deposit records for the Town Clerk of the Town of Rochester, Ulster County, defendant, at that time a Deputy Town Clerk, was arrested and charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, falsifying business records in the first degree and two counts of official misconduct. Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted on the falsifying business records...
