Plaintiff Yiping Xing fell some thirty feet from the northbound express lanes of Routes 1 and 9 onto the roadway below, suffering severe injuries. Because of the nature and extent of his injuries, plaintiff does not recall the accident; however, his vehicle was one of seven involved in a serial collision attributable to icy road conditions.
