I. NATURE OF CASE

Adrian Lessley and Jason Marion were shot during an altercation on the porch of an Omaha, Nebraska, home. Adrian was killed, and Jason was wounded. Kevin J. Watt was charged in connection with the shooting, and following a jury trial, he was convicted of first degree murder, first degree assault, two counts of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
