Appellant, Ryan Adam Johnson, was convicted of first-degree murder while committing child abuse, Minn.Stat. § 609.185(a)(5) (2008), first-degree murder while committing domestic abuse, Minn. Stat. § 609.185(a)(6), and second-degree intentional murder, Minn.Stat. § 609.19 (2008), for the death of his infant child, Jonah Johnson.
