Dize, appellant, filed a claim in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City against his employer, the Association of Maryland Pilots (the "Association"), appellee, pursuant to the Jones Act, 46 U.S.C. § 30104 (2006),1 after he was diagnosed with silicosis of the lungs.
