Appellant, Stephen Van Schaik, and appellee, Judith Van Schaik, were awarded joint legal and physical custody of the parties' minor children. On March 14, 2010, appellant moved the children from Maryland to South Carolina without informing appellee. After the Circuit Court for Caroline County issued an ex parte order awarding appellee sole custody of the children, appellee traveled to South Carolina and retrieved the children.
