BLAKE, J.
The question presented in this appeal, which arises out of a legal malpractice action, is whether a union's agents are liable for the union's breach of the duty of fair representation. Concluding that they are not, we affirm the Superior Court judge's grant of summary judgment in favor of the defendants.
