This criminal appeal arises from the First Judicial District Court, Parish of Caddo, State of Louisiana. The defendant, Justin Latron Glover, was convicted of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of La. R.S. 14:95.1. He was sentenced to 13½ years' imprisonment at hard labor without the benefit of probation or suspension of sentence, plus a fine of $1,000.00 and court costs.
