¶ 1 The defendant, Michael Meyers, appeals from the trial court's denial of his petition seeking relief pursuant to the Post-Conviction Hearing Act (Act) (725 ILCS 5/122-1 et seq. (West 1994)). For the reasons that follow, we affirm.
