¶ 1 This is a unique wrongful death case of first impression where a jury returned a verdict of $4.25 million against defendants on behalf of the decedent's parents and eight siblings, and the trial court vacated the judgment on the verdict after hearing that the decedent was married at the time and then dismissed the case in its entirety.
