¶ 1 A jury found the defendant, Dennis Ligon, guilty of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a dangerous weapon, a Class X felony, under section 18-4(a) of the Criminal Code of 1961 (Code) (720 ILCS 5/18-4(a)(3) (West 2004)).
