Justice ZENOFF delivered the opinion of the court:

Defendant, Sirenio Flores, appeals from his ninth conviction of driving with a revoked or suspended license (625 ILCS 5/11-501.1 (West 2006)). He asserts that the trial court improperly admitted as self-authenticating a videotape produced by a neighbor with admitted animus toward him. We agree with defendant, although we conclude that a more accurate characterization of the error is that the court treated the videotape...
