After being arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) (625 ILCS 5/11-501(a)(2) (West 2008)), defendant, John P. Bruni, refused chemical testing to determine the content of alcohol in his blood. His refusal resulted in the statutory summary suspension of his driving privileges.
