Defendant, Tyron L. Patrick, was convicted of reckless homicide (720 ILCS 5/9-3(a) (West 2006)) and four counts of failing to report an accident involving injury or death (625 ILCS 5/11-401(b) (West 2006)). On May 16, 2008, he was sentenced to nine years' imprisonment for count I, failing to report an accident involving a death, and five years' imprisonment for counts II through IV, failing to report an accident involving...
