In 2005, after a jury trial, defendant, Wade D. Taylor, was found guilty of home invasion (720 ILCS 5/12-11(a)(2) (West 2004)) and was sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment. On direct appeal, this court affirmed. People v. Taylor, No. 2-05-0953 (2007) (unpublished order under Supreme Court Rule 23).
