Shatavia S., a minor, was placed on court supervision by the circuit court of Madison County, Illinois, after being charged with criminal damage to property (720 ILCS 5/21-1(a) (West 2006)) and resisting a peace officer (720 ILCS 5/31-1(a) (West 2006)), both Class A misdemeanors. Based on the terms of supervision, the juvenile was ordered to pay restitution and perform community service along with other various obligations...
