After a jury trial, defendant, James A. Gibson, was convicted of armed robbery (720 ILCS 5/18-2(a)(2) (2006)), aggravated kidnapping (720 ILCS 5/10-2(a)(6) (West 2006)), and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon (720 ILCS 5/24-1.1(a) (West 2006)).
