The defendant was found guilty by a jury of two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to concurrent terms of three years in prison. The only issue in this case is whether the defendant's statutory right to a speedy trial was violated when the trial court granted the State a 30-day extension of the 120-day trial term. We conclude it was. We reverse...
