Appellant Alvin Harris was tried in June 1999 and convicted of felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon for which he received a mandatory life sentence for felony murder plus consecutive and concurrent terms on the additional counts.
