At the close of the government's case-in-chief, the defendant, John B. Stacks, moved for judgment of acquittal pursuant to Rule 29(a) of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure. Pursuant to Rule 29(b), the Court reserved a decision on that motion. At the close of all of the evidence, Stacks renewed his motion.
