Decedent Raissa Booker experienced bilateral pulmonary emboli after using Defendants' Ortho Evra® birth control patch. Decedent was a minor at the time of her injury and death. Decedent's mother, Plaintiff Donna Booker, therefore sued Defendants on Decedent's behalf. Currently pending is Defendants' combined motion for summary judgment and judgment on the pleadings.
