I. Introduction

On October 2, 2006, Elaine Warren filed an application for a period of disability and disability insurance benefits, alleging disability beginning September 28, 2006. (R. 9). After the claim was initially denied, Warren filed a timely written request for a hearing before an administrative law judge ("ALJ"), who, after a hearing on July 28, 2008, denied the claim.
