This dispute arises out of a license agreement under which defendant paid royalties to plaintiff for the right to use a treatment developed by plaintiff's predecessors. In a parallel proceeding, defendant sued plaintiff in Maryland state court seeking a declaration that it had no continuing obligations under the license agreement.
