Petitioner Adnan Asan was convicted of a narcotics offense in this Court on his plea of guilty in 1984. In 2007 the United States Department of Homeland Security, acting through the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency ("ICE"), deported Asan to his native country of Macedonia, where Asan currently resides.
