After six years of complex litigation, Judge Lindsay held that the Estate of John L. McIntyre ("McIntyre") could recover under the Federal Tort Claims Act, 28 U.S.C. § 2671 et seq., from the United States for leaking John McIntyre's identity as an informant to two notorious criminals who tortured and killed him.
