I. Introduction

Just before Defendant Rocco DeSimone ("Defendant" or "DeSimone") was scheduled to be tried on mail fraud and money laundering charges in January of this year, he decided to plead guilty. After holding a hearing to assure that DeSimone's choice was voluntary, intelligent, and knowing, the Court accepted his plea.
