Appellants Carlos H. Rivera-Rodríguez and Albert Mercado-Cruz appeal their convictions and sentences on drug possession and distribution charges. Rivera-Rodríguez claims that the district court's improper questioning of witnesses and its handling of a dispute during closing arguments unfairly prejudiced the jury against him.
