BERGER, Justice:

In this appeal we consider several evidentiary rulings in a personal injury action arising from a motor vehicle accident. Among other things, appellant1 complains that the trial court erred in denying him access to appellee's medical records, and that the jury should not have been allowed to learn that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. We agree, and reverse and remand for a new trial.
