The determinative issue in this appeal is whether a trial court properly may continue a hearing on a motion for contempt when the alleged contemnor's attorney represents to the court that the court-ordered child support payment is "in the mail." We hold that the court is not obligated to accept the attorney's representation and may continue the hearing for a determination of compliance with the child support orders.
