This is an appeal from summary judgment entered against plaintiff Maria Garcia and her children (collectively, plaintiffs), survivors of Luis Garcia, Sr. (Garcia). Plaintiffs contend the trial court erred when it concluded there was no triable issue of fact by which plaintiffs could establish defendants' acts or omissions were a substantial cause of Garcia's death.
