Jeremy A. Royal died in a workplace accident in 2010. Jeremy was survived by his widow, Crystal Royal, her children A.M. and D.S., Jeremy's ex-wife, Rosana Royal, and her children T.R. and A.R. The Commission found that Crystal Royal had no expectation of monetary support from Jeremy and therefore could not receive survivor benefits because she was separated from him and had already filed for a divorce when he died.
