Andere Jackson was convicted of felony murder, pursuant to § 13A-6-2(A)(3), Ala. Code 1975. Jackson was sentenced to 35 years' imprisonment; the sentence to be served concurrently with any other sentences he was serving, and he was given credit for 784 days in jail. The circuit court also ordered Jackson to pay restitution of $2,500 to Melissa Russell and $5,000 to the Alabama Crime Victims Compensation Fund, as well as pay a victim's compensation...
