On June 5, 2009, a jury convicted defendant Nathaniel L. Ortiz of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute crack cocaine, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 842 and 841(a)(1) and (b)(1)(A), and possession of a firearm in furtherance of the drug conspiracy, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c)(1)(B)(ii) and (c) (2). On October 28, 2009, I sentenced Ortiz principally to a term of imprisonment...
