Jessie James Mercer, Jr., appeals from the denial of his motion for a new trial following his conviction of armed robbery (Count 1), kidnapping (Counts 2 and 5), and aggravated assault (Counts 3 and 4). Mercer was sentenced to serve 20 years on Count 1 and 15 on Count 2, to be served consecutively, and 15 years each on Counts 3 through 5, to be served concurrently.
