The defendant Sharon Smith appeals her Crosby1 conditional guilty plea conviction to the charged offense, theft of goods valued at $100 or more but less than $500, a violation of La.R.S. 14:67.10, and her negotiated two-year hard labor suspended sentence. The trial judge placed Ms. Smith on two years' active probation and ordered her to pay a $300 fine, plus costs.
