In May 2006, a jury convicted the defendant, Nelson Bido, of aiding and abetting the murder of Jorge Confessor and conspiracy to commit robbery. Mr. Confessor was shot in the back in the parking lot of Citizens Bank on Cranston Street in Providence on April 15, 1991.
