On July 11, 2003, the Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct (committee) filed a petition seeking disbarment of the respondent, Caroline G. Douglas. The Judicial Referee (Horton, J.) found by clear and convincing evidence that the respondent violated New Hampshire Rules of Professional Conduct (Rules) 1.15(a)(1), 1.15(c), 8.4(c) and 8.4(a), and recommended a five-year suspension as a sanction.
