Plaintiff American Home Assurance Co., the subrogated marine cargo insurer of Liberty Hardware Mfg. Co., brings this action, pursuant to the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act (COGSA), 46 U.S.C. app. §§ 1300-15 (2000), against defendants m/v Zim Jamaica, her engines, boilers, etc., and Zim Israel Navigation Company, Ltd., for damage to a shipment of hardware fixtures.
