Defendant Leon Carmichael, Sr. was convicted of conspiring to distribute marijuana and conspiring to commit money laundering. This criminal case is again before the court, this time on petitioner Reese & Howell, Inc. ("R & H")'s petition, filed pursuant to 21 U.S.C. § 853(n), to validate its alleged third-party interest in the real property known as the Carmichael Center. For the reasons that follow...
