On November 20, 2004, Tracy Walsh died while she was in the custody of the Ogemaw County, Michigan sheriff. She suffered from a malignant tumor in her neck, which apparently grew rapidly and constricted her aorta, esophagus, and trachea, causing her eventually to suffocate.
