The jury in this action returned a verdict in the amount of $875,000 in favor of plaintiff Thomas Carter and against National Railroad Passenger Corporation ("Amtrak") for personal injuries he suffered while disembarking from an Amtrak train at BWI Airport Station in Maryland ("BWI Station").
