The defendant, Kevin Holmes, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-59 (a)(3).1 On appeal, the defendant claims that there was insufficient evidence for the jury to have found beyond a reasonable doubt that he recklessly engaged in conduct that created a risk of death to another person.
