All parties have agreed to a $12.75 million class action settlement for all Plaintiffs' claims against all Defendants1 arising out of widespread basement flooding that occurred on September 10-12, 2000. I approved that settlement on April 5, 2005, because I found the settlement is fair, adequate, reasonable, and in the public interest. I write now to explain my reasoning behind that...
